I don’t eat much meat any more, as I am sure you guys have noticed. No, I haven’t gone vegetarian, but only because I don’t do labels. If you want to stick a label on me make it flexitarian. That way I can still eat meals like this:
Spicy tuna roll
Seaweed salad
Perfect Thursday night dinner.
And let’s not mention that zucchini cake I snacked on afterwards. Ok? Ok.
Psalm 53:4 (The Message)
Don’t they know anything, all these impostors? Don’t they know they can’t get away with this? Treating people like a fast-food meal over which they’re too busy to pray?
That directly corresponds back to one of my favorite verses:
John 13:34 (The Message)
Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other."
God’s greatest command is also his simplest. Love. Just love each other. No one wants to be treated like fast food. Everyone should be a Thanksgiving dinner. Or a great plate of sushi.
