Continuing the bowl/container theme I had a yogurt + granola at my desk this afternoon.
The combination of my breakfast and lunch kept me full, full, full, so I snacked later than usual, around 4.
Normally I would have skipped the snack and opted for an early dinner, but I had plans to go to the gym this evening as it was raining today and I knew I needed the extra energy.
Instead of going to the gym right after work though, I let my uncomfortable full stomach settle to something a little more workable, and headed to the gym around 7. It was really nice, because by that time it’s pretty empty so I had most of the machines to myself.
I’ve really been lacking in the strength training department lately, since I’ve been focusing on my marathon training; so I took advantage of being in the gym and did a 1/2 hour upper body and ab workout. I love strength training, and I’ve really missed it.
Afterward, I did a quick 25 minute treadmill workout.
- Mile 1: 9:00 pace
- Mile 1.5: 8:30 pace
- Mile 2: Incline 15 13:00 pace
- Mile .75: 7:00 – 7:30 sprints
Yes, I just did 2.75 miles, but I was a sweaty beast. Those sprints at the end were KILLER!
I didn’t get home until around 9, so I heated some vegetable soup up for dinner. (BOWL!!!) 😀
Yes, that is my second tomato based soup of the day.
On the side I had some Stacy’s Pita Chips posing as crackers.
GENIUS!!! The pita chips went perfectly with the soup.
For dessert, I was planning to have this Honeycrisp,
but Cecily wanted to share it, so I just had half, and finished off the chocolate pudding that she didn’t want.
What four year old wants apples over chocolate pudding?
This one, apparently.
