Breaking News!!!!

Thanks to the lovely and wonderful Jeannie for teaching me the secret behind that elusive é. [hold the alt key and press 1 3 0 on the number pad] Voilá! é!!!

So as soon as Michael Bublé breaks up with his model girlfriend, we can get married.

Also making my day was a jar of oatmeal.

  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder

  • 1 banana muffin

I’m multitasking it at lunch today.

  • checking e-mails
  • catching up on google reader
  • posting
  • eating

Lunch at my desk!

How fun!

And vegetable stir fry too!

Never had that before!

Well on a plate anyway. 😉

Go To Stir Fry:

  • Tempeh
  • Pepper
  • Zuke
  • Carrot
  • Corn
  • Peas
  • Onion

Or a variation of such.

Two Question Tuesday:

1.) What’s your go to easy lunch?

See above ^ for my answer.

2.) Who’s your celeb crush?

Mine varies, but it’s usually a singer. Something about a man with a sexy voice…oh my.

In answer to the question [although it’s obvious] right now it’s Bublé.

Ok, it’s gray around here again.

Yep, that means day of bowls #2!

Today’s breakfast bowl featured PB&J oatmeal, which consisted of:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • mashed banana
  • flax
  • pb
  • Je’s jam!

I went from EMPTY to FULL in about .005 seconds! Seriously, oatmeal has been keeping me SO FULL in the mornings lately. I love it.

Except, then I haven’t really been hungry at lunch.

But when you have delicious ingredients, you must use them, right?

Yes, you must.

You must use them to make delicious STIRFRY!

So that you can eat it out of a MUG!

GRAPES! are so delicious right now, no?

GRAPES! and APPLES! [now I want to go apple picking.]

So, as you saw my friend Amanda got married over the weekend. [Congrats to her!]

All your comments + my own thoughts got me thinking…am I going to be the last one to get married? Should I be worried that I am not even in a relationship [of any kind?] I mean, most of my friends are married. Gah, some of the even have KIDS! [Mama D. made certain of that not happening by giving birth to a little devil angel at a most opportune time in my life.]

I feel sort of behind, even though I am really happy with where I am in life.

What about you?

Are all your friends married, pregnant or in serious relationships? Do you often find yourself chilling with a cup of coffee watching Gossip Girl alone? [GG is my show of choice, insert your own here.] If you are in the same boat as me, do you find it a little strange? Like everything is happening so fast? And how did it happen?

As to not end this on a downer [not that I am down about that, as stated earlier] can I mention something I am excited about?

CharlotteONE is tonight! Yay, I get to connect! 😀

It’s a mango and a banana,

it’s a flattened mango and a flattened banana, in fact.

Looks like a truck ran over those two.

After my snack, I ran 7 miles and then rolled around with my new buddy the foam roller. He and I are getting pretty tight. BFFS.

Dinner brought about the end of my tempeh.

As well as some green beans on their last legs.

And some corn that looks pretty fresh.

Which of these three does not belong?

A bit of a trick question there, eh?

Technically you have two options:

1.) The tempeh, as it is not a veggie.

2.) The corn, because it looks fresh.

Frankly, I don’t really care which one you pick, because I ate every single bite.

In much more interesting news Meredith got a new hair color for fall:

Yep, I have a sister that is a brunette now!

(Also she’s single, guys.)

(As am I.)

On that note, I am going to bed.

Well, maybe not to bed, as it’s early yet.

Who am I kidding?

I am so going to bed.

Mama D’s birthday cake baking was a success!

She blew out her candles under the watchful eye of Cecily. Doesn’t Cecily have such a well kept look about her? She is such a clean and neat child. Forever begging to have a bath or her hair brushed. Why am I telling you this though? It’s completely obvious just by looking at her. 😉

But Mama D isn’t the only one who had cake.

I had some too. These were little chocolate marshmallow cakes that were positively scrumptious. Meredith found the recipe on Tasty Kitchen, which, if you haven’t been there, well you should.

Before I had my cake, I had dinner.

This folks, we shall call a Whit Special.

In this bowl we have:

  • tempeh
  • spinach
  • 1/2 an apple
  • soy sauce
  • BBQ sauce

Don’t ask what was going on in my head as I was adding ingredients. I just dumped stuff in the pan and stirfried it. Wasn’t half bad.

Quit looking at me that way.

It really wasn’t bad.

Ok, I’m just going to ignore you and continue on.

Since I’m already going backwards, I shall keep that up, I think.

Before I ate dinner I ran 3 miles. Woot woot! The leg barely bothered me, and the foam roller I purchased at Target today is taking care of the bit of botheration I did have.

I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. It was just a perfect day for a run. 😀 😀 😀 😀

In the span of the afternoon, I also ran approximately 47 reports for work, got my car inspected and my tag renewed. I will mention that if your tag is expired and you live in North Carolina, they do not allow you to renew it online. Also you have to have your inspection up to date before you renew your tag. Found all that out today.

At some point I ate this:

And now all my apples are gone. 😦

Alright, I am off to spend some quality time with that foam roller, and also my bathtub. See ya on the flip side!

faux meat

It’s a Larabar. Surprise, surprise.

But dinner.

Oh dinner.

Dinner was made using something I have NEVER used before!

I made a tempeh stir fry with a carrot, 1/4 an onion, a bell pepper and cubed tempeh.

It was SO GOOD. I must buy more of these faux meat products. First I popped my tofu cherry and now tempeh. What’s next? Meatless balls?

On da side I had some pale brown rice.

and a mushy nectarine.

YUM! (minus the mushy part, of course.)

I *heart* tempeh.

I downed my din-din and Mere and I went to my (well now it’s ours) new Tuesday night service. Love. Mere loved it too (so now it’s ours. Wait, I already said that.)

In other news, check out the absolutely gawjuss engagement pics of my dear sis Linden. She and her fiance are the cutest couple EVER! (Well, except for me and my imaginary boyfriend, of course.)
