Hey there. YOGA tonight was TWISTY…like a pretzel. Kasey and I went to an ASHTANGA class. I think it was a little over my head, especially since I spent most of the class on my head. Or trying to get on my head. I’m not quite a headstander yet. Shoulder stand is about as crazy as I get. Also, the class was full of BINDS and I am not very good at BINDING yet. Short arms’ll get ya every time! I did manage to rock a few [very few] binds, so I am getting there.
Breakfast this morning was had at the office.
Microwave oats + microwave tea.
My oats were very BANANA filled.
And PEANUT BUTTER filled.
I loved the saying on my cup.
Do what you like, like what you do.
My new life motto. WATCH OUT WORLD, HERE I COME!
Lunch looked like yesterdays.
Leftover spaghetti, except today I topped it with onions.
Look at all the SAUCE! ‘Twas good.
Before going to yoga I had a snack…long before yoga, actually. Like 3 hours prior.
Wins the award for MOST FILLING SNACK EVER! Kept me full through yoga [all 90 minutes of twisty pretzel!] + a visit with my cousin [future neighbor!] and the drive home from Kasey’s house. It will be so nice when we are roomies, cause we will not have to MEET to carpool to yoga, and our new apartment is much CLOSER to yoga.
When I finally got home I made dinner out of an apple + PB.
Dug the PB out with a knife when the apple was gone. Don’t judge, I never said I was classy. Plus, it was like 11 pm and I am/was [the apple/pb eating may or may not still be happening] TIRED + FAMISHED.
A question for you guys: [I am full of those lately, no?]
When you get home late [say 11 pm] do you try to make a decent dinner, or just grab snacks?
Hopefully this does not happen to you often, I know it doesn’t me, but I am just wondering? I don’t want to be judged upon my horrid dinner choice. 😉
Can we please talk about that peanut butter? It looks awesome!!! White chocolate?!?! mmm…

My usual late night snack is a tbsp of peanut butter…amazing how it tides you over till breakfast everytime.
LOVE ashtanga yoga!! I have an awesome workout DVD for it 🙂
If I get home really late I’ll just have a little snack like some yogurt or something then go to bed; I don’t sleep well with a big meal in my stomach!

Hmmm, I honestly can’t tell you the last time I wasn’t asleep by 11pm, but when I do get home later and skip my normal meal time, I usually ALWAYS avert to the cereal dinner. It’s perfect for these situations.

I love ashtanga! That’s the yoga I did in Hawaii. Love the arm binding! My goal this year is to try and do a headstand.
Hard to say about the dinner situation, when I get home late dinner-less it’s like 9 and I make a quick dinner. If I’m out later than that I usually have some dinner back up option going on.

If I got home and had not had dinner, I would probably still try to make at least a sandwich or maybe some cereal with yogurt…skipping meals never ends well for moi.
I need to get into yoga, dude. Last time I went to a class though, I was next to an ahem..older gentlemen and it smelled like his old feet the whole damn time. Not cool.
Anyways, if I’m strollin in around 11 pm, there is no way you’re gonna get me to cook anything at that time. Snacks it is. And, uh, I’ve never seen that white chocolate pb before. I hope I can find summa that here!

I usually grab a bowl of cereal if I’m eating past 8PM. Not sure if it’s the best choice but it’s been a habit of mine since I was little.

Sometimes you just need an apple n pb for dinner! I’m usually pretty conscious of not skipping or snackafying my meals- so if I know I’m going to be out of the house for several hours when I’d normally have dinner, I might pack a wrap for the road or something. But in the case I do get home at 11- I probably won’t be wanting a full on meal since I’ll hit the sack soon- in that case maybe a cup of greek yoghurt w/ mix ins & fruit along with a piece of zucchini bread or leftover pancakes or something will suffice 🙂
I love that phrase! And if you just turn it around, “Like what you do, do what you like,” it has a whole new meaning, relating to attitude! Love it!

This happened last night actually and I microwaved a Kashi meal that had been in my freezer since August? I think I’m gonna get more frozen stuff cause usually I snack when I get home too late and end up snacking too much… Last night a meal was ready in 2:00 flat and I didn’t even have time to munch on things before it was done. It felt so much better than just diving into whatever was readily available…
I defff eat snack stuff.
Or Kraft Mac and Cheese…
when i get home super late, i never make a “real” dinner. my go-to is usually oatmeal + cocoa powder 🙂

Headstands are kind of my nemesis.
I try to make myself a proper meal when I get home late. Key word being try. Cereal is my go-to though!

Wow, your microwave oats look delicious! I had to make mine in the microwave this morning and they DEFINITELY did not look as good as yours, haha.

I tend to just snack if I get home late. If it’s 9pm and I haven’t had dinner yet, then snacks it is.
banana and PB I have found is one of themost filling snacks! If I ever get home that late (which I dont because I work at 5am!!) but when/if I do, I just tend to have a ‘light dinner’ meaning a bowl of cereal or banana and PB or soem eggwhites and a WW tortilla

I’ve been struggling with my eats on Yoga nights. I’ve started making crock pot meals on Yoga days. I get out of class at 9:15. I’m not too hungry adnd do not like eating late. A small bowl of soup with crackers usually works.
No judgement here, girl! My schedule is all over the place and it depends how I’m feeling when I get home. I will stick to lighter stuff if I’m trying to not go to bed starving so I can prevent the morning rock in stomach feeling. Alas, my brain is not always functioning that late and the snackiness sets in.
Have yet to try an Ashtanga class…but I do love me a good yoga sesh! Just got the Wii Fit, idk if I should keep it or not, but I’m tempted to try the yoga out on that!

I try not too eat a ton when I get home late, and definately don’t spend a lot of time making something at that point, but a bowl of whole grain cereal with fruit + nuts and soy milk is a good quick meal. Breakfast before bed, loves it 🙂
When I come in that late it’s usually from dance and I don’t want a big meal but I am usually starving so I am scrounging for either whatever everyone else had and I can heat up or I have something “snackish” like PB sandwhich or wrap add in a banana if we have that or some PB crackers….i find if I do not eat I am sick tossing all night long wishing I did!
Yoga sounds fuuun. I go to an Ashtanga class, but it’s pretty much just full of vinyasas. I like it, but am starting to crave more. When I get home super late, I usually just go for a snackish dinner, like you:)
